NECROVIA
Necrovia, "The Way of the Dead", is a vast arctic desert, one of the most isolated regions on the planet.
With no signs of life across its endless frozen wasteland, Necrovia stands as a desolate expanse of ice and silence.
Skye and Sin cross this barren land in search of a lost G.E.N.E.S.I.S. base mentioned in an old report they discovered in Tekandris, another distant location.
To evoke a sense of melancholy and emptiness, I focused on a color palette and environmental design that emphasize isolation — featuring a fallen ship, a blacked-out city, and, most notably, the shattered Matrix ARC portal.
CINDRALIS
Cindralis, "The Ashes of the Impacts", is the region where Skye and Sin find themselves after teleporting through the ARC. Unlike Necrovia, Cindralis is a tropical zone teeming with life — sentient, plant, and animal.
When the cataclysm occurred, the artificial black hole reshaped Earth’s reality, erasing human life and fracturing both the planet and its moon. The moon split into three large sections, while countless shattered fragments now orbit Earth’s atmosphere. Cindralis is one of the regions most affected by the resulting Lunar Storms — violent meteor showers accompanied by gravitational anomalies.
