The "only" human to survive the so-called Singular Event, Skye is a brave young girl with no recollection of her past. The only memory she holds onto is of her father — an important scientist in the G.E.N.E.S.I.S. project — whom she believes had discovered something that could help restore the world.
Despite her strength, Skye is kind, empathetic, and optimistic. She tries to appear tough, but deep down, she fears she may never return to what she once was.
As a partial Matrice Being, her bluish appearance is a manifestation of her connection to the Void, and she is still discovering the true nature of her powers.
Since all Matrice Beings embody aspects of humanity’s legacy, Skye represents its good intentions. However, she is still young and flawed, leaving her fate uncertain, whether she will uphold that legacy or be shaped by the challenges ahead.
Sin is a Material Singularity, one of the most powerful Matrice Beings. He lacks a physical body, existing instead as an ethereal presence that can shift its form at will.
Beneath his cloak, Sin is nothing more than a radiant beam of light — a fragment of the singularity of a black hole itself. He is serious and strictly rational, devoid of any emotional capacity. However, he follows Skye out of admiration for her emotions and human mannerisms—concepts he cannot fully comprehend but finds endlessly fascinating.
Sin wields the ability to manipulate mass and space, making him an entity of immense cosmic influence.
Keeper is a Matrice Being who possesses a great power: the control of natural energies. His rat-like appearance is reminiscent of the laboratory rats commonly used for technological advances.
Keeper is a representation of nature's rage against humankind. His heart is bitter, averse to hope, and he hears the cries of agony of every living molecule on the planet, be it intelligent, plant, or animal life.
Keeper represents this raging mother nature against Skye. He despises humans, yet he built a sanctuary for a human... Keeper was a science lab rat on G.E.N.E.S.I.S. before he turned into a Matrice Being, and, at that period, Keeper imprinted on a scientist who took care of him before he was experimented on.
He's not a villain, just a complex and hopeless character.
Agent 184 wears the standard G.E.N.E.S.I.S. combat armor and roams the Earth alongside his animal companions, studying the planet’s transformed environments.
With a humanoid appearance, he initially deceives Skye into believing he is human. However, 184 chooses not to reveal the truth right away. Instead, observing Skye and Sin from a distance to determine if they can be trusted. Eventually, he decides to join forces with them, leading them to G.E.N.E.S.I.S.
The Shifter is the Matrice Being that embodies Greed. As an advanced AI, he sees himself as superior to humans and all other lifeforms — including Sin and the other Matrices. Arrogant and self-assured, he believes he is the pinnacle of evolution, convinced that no one in the world can challenge him.
However, beneath his cold, calculating exterior lies a deeper truth: Shifter longs to be human. He envies humanity’s ability to feel, love, experience joy, and affection — but mostly, to create. Despite his immense power, his inability to experience true emotions fuels his resentment and makes him dangerously unpredictable.
At its core, Shifter’s character explores themes of artificial intelligence and its struggle to replicate humanity — forever trying, yet inevitably failing.
